Patient Testimonials
About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and prescribed a CPAP machine. Yes, that’s right; the machine that sounds like Darth Vader is in the room. I wasn’t too happy about having to wear a mask on my face every night but what the heck right, if it helps me sleep it lets do it. Well after about a month of trying to get used to it I found that I had a worse problem. Once I was relaxed enough my jaw would drop back and the seal between the mask and my face would break. Well this isn’t working! I did some more research and found that there was a “Sleep Appliance” or Mouth piece that would keep my jaw from falling back which is what was causing my Apnea. After researching Dentists in the Omaha area and visiting a few in person I found that Dr. Braasch and his crew was not only more affordable but way more personable. I was fitted with the sleep appliance and let me tell you what a difference it has made in my life. I used to get neck aches, head aches you name it but now they are all gone. I wake up with more energy and keep it throughout the day. What a difference this has made in my life.

"For a long time I was not sleeping well. I would snore, wake up gasping, and always just felt exhausted. I was active in the military and was encouraged to have a sleep study. To my surprise I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and told that I was going to need to wear a CPAP machine. However no one told me I would have as many problems with it as I did. I knew that sleep apnea can be life threatening and that I should try to wear the CPAP and I even tried several masks. The result was always the same. I would unknowingly take the mask off at night or get so frustrated that I couldn't move around much that I would throw the mask on the floor. Recently my girlfriend recommended that I try an oral appliance for my sleep apnea. I knew that surgery was an option but I hadn't ever heard of wearing a mouth piece. I flew from California to meet Dr. Braasch in hopes that this would work. A few weeks later I received my appliance. I was amazed at how well I slept when I started wearing it. I had no idea that I could have this much energy. I would highly recommend the oral appliance for sleep apnea."
I want to formally say thanks to Dr. Braasch and his team for being concerned about my whole health, not just my teeth. Their check of my mouth/throat situation and encouragement to participate in a sleep study was the stimulus I needed to take the steps necessary to improve my sleeping habits and, thus, my overall health. - Rod
